A set of 2 pairs of playing cards, featuring Alexandra’s signature smiling skull design in wood marquetry paired with our signature burgundy playing cards. Printed on premium quality card, with beautiful gilded edges, they feature classical renditions of the suits, reimagined by Alexandra with her trademark attention to detail.
A pack of cards brings us all together and can be played absolutely anywhere. For years we have been asked for playing cards and we are absolutely thrilled with the designs.
Our Signature playing cards feature one of Alexandra’s favourite artworks: the distinctive, zebra-like patterning on the feathers of a Lady Amherst pheasant, interpreted in abstract wood marquetry.
The cards in the pack feature original drawings by Alexandra, with the Ace of Spades and the two Jokers depicted as smiling skulls and the King and Queen of Spades, who traditionally wield swords and roses in their hands, switching objects so that the King becomes the peacekeeper.
Limited to 1,000, each pack of cards is individually numbered with an Alexandra Llewellyn seal on the box.
